GRADING: A near mint (NM) record is flawless or close to it; I’m uncomfortable listing anything that has been opened as mint. A very good plus (VG+) record may have a few light scratches, scuffs or smudges but should play quite well with little surface noise or distortion. A VG+ jacket may have slight signs of wear (edgewear, ringwear, slight creasing) but nothing significantly distracting. A very good (VG) record will have somewhat more wear and probably somewhat more surface noise, but rarely enough to be really distracting. A VG jacket is basically a VG+ with one or two more overt flaws (e.g. a tear along the spine or a seam split). A good (G) record has a fair amount of wear, listenable but with sometimes significant surface noise; a G jacket is intact but has some significant sources of wear. I am not listing any records in fair or poor condition. I’ve bought a lot of vinyl on Ebay over the years and have had the experience of both being quite pleased and significantly disappointed; my hope is that you will be pleased and so I’m trying to grade somewhat conservatively. 

ABOUT THE RECORDS: These records are mostly from my personal collection, acquired over a period of 23 years. I started buying vinyl just as the major labels in the US were starting to phase it out, so many of the records were purchased used — at record stores and later on Ebay and elsewhere on the web. As such many of them have had multiple owners. I don’t have time to play-grade all of the records; if I refer to the sound in the listing, then I have listened to at least parts of the record; otherwise I will indicate if the grading is strictly visual. Some of the records have been cleaned, but not all.

SHIPPING: Within the United States, shipping will be US$4.00 for media mail for the first record (or lot), $0.50 for each additional record. If you prefer another shipping method, please ask. For international postage, refer to the shipping calculator below for air mail. For Canada, add $3 per LP; for the rest of the world, add $5 per LP. (Obviously if you are buying lots, the total will be more.) If you are bidding on multiple items I’m selling, please wait for all of them to end and request an invoice so I can apply the discount.
