HERE WE HAVE A STUNNING!!! UK HARVEST (SHPF 1983) FIRST PRESSING (March 1983)!!! OF PINK FLOYD'S VASTLY UNDERRATED, "DIFFICULT" AND TOTALLY MIND BLOWING LP, "The Final Cut" ALL IN BEAUTIFUL, BARELY PLAYED, NEAR MINT CONDITION THROUGHOUT!!!
THE LP HAS THE MASSIVELY RARE FIRST ISSUE MATRIX SEQUENCE WITH THE VERY FIRST A-1U STAMP: SHPF 1983 A-1U-1-6 TML-S / SHPF 1983 B-4U-1-7 TML-M TML-M (stamped twice)
AND IS IS HOUSED IN THE ORIGINAL "MILITARY STRIP" GATEFOLD SLEEVE (with its all important title sticker in place!!) AND COMES COMPLETE WITH THE ORIGINAL BLACK POLY LINED INNER, AGAIN, ALL IN BEAUTIFUL CONDITION!!!!!
THIS REALLY IS A STUNNING COPY!!!! AND BECOMING INCREASINGLY RARE AS A FIRST PRESSING WITH THE A-1U MATRIX SEQUENCE!!!! AND IMPOSSIBLY SCARCE IN SUCH WONDERFUL CONDITION!!!

The Final Cut extends the autobiography of The Wall, concentrating on Roger Waters' pain when his father died in World War II (the album is dedicated "for eric fletcher waters 1913-1944")
Waters spins this off into a treatise on the futility of war, concentrating on the Falkland Islands, setting his blistering condemnations and scathing anger to impossibly subdued music that demands full attention.
This is more like a novel than a record, requiring total concentration since shifts in dynamics, orchestration, and instrumentation are used as effect.
The even bent of the arrangements, where the music is used as texture, not music, means that The Final Cut purposely alienates all but the most dedicated listener. Several of those listeners (including yours truely) maintain that this is among Pink Floyd's finest efforts.
That doesn't make this easier to embrace, of course, and it's damn near impenetrable in many respects, but with its anger, emphasis on lyrics, and sonic textures, it's clear that the album is everything Waters intended it to be... AND MUCH MORE!!!

If you listen to this on headphones you will be completely BLOWN AWAY by its power, anger and strength and with its ambient, textural sounds - bomb explosions, fighter planes, clocks ticking, footsteps, cars, barking dogs, the laughing, the whispers, the blowing wind etc.!!!! CRYSTAL CLEAR, VERY SHARP and VERY STRONG sound reproduction!!!!! There are NO scratches, NO jumps, NO sticks, and barely ANY clicks/surface noise AT ALL!!!! - truly AWESOME and very, VERY rare for a FIRST PRESSING!! , especially for this LP which is notoriously prone to lots of 'clicking' and surface noise (even on MINT looking copies - so make sure you buy a PLAY GRADED one!!!). The sound quality is simply ASTONISHING!! with NO groove-wear and NO distortion!!!! Probably NEVER been played!! This must be graded NEAR MINT for audio!!!! IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND LIKE THIS!! ONE OF THE MOST PERFECT SOUNDING COPIES I HAVE EVER HEARD!!! This record is NOT over-graded in ANY way as I use STRICT RECORD COLLECTOR grading standards!!! AN ABSOLUTELY OUTSTANDING LP!!!!!!!
SLEEVE: The cover is in SUPERB condition!!! CLEAN and UNMARKED, BEAUTIFUL FACTORY-FRESH shine and virtually NO wear whatsoever on either the edges or spine!!!
The ORIGINAL BLACK INNER SLEEVE is also in lovely condition and has NO splits or marks!!
