THE PINK FLOYD The Piper At The Gates Of Dawn (Columbia 1C 062-04 292 ) RARE German Pressing MINT-
Second, but still RARE German pressing of The Pink Floyd`s debut album "The Piper At The Gates Of Dawn" on Columbia Records (October 1967). This second German pressing was issued in April 1969.
“It’s gone!” sighed the Rat, sinking back into his seat again. “So beautiful and strange and new! Since it was to end so soon, I almost wish I had never heard it. For it has roused a longing in me that is pain, and nothing seems worth while but just to hear that sound once more and go on listening to it forever. No! GRADING:
VG+ COVER with a fair amount of wear. Please see photos for details.
- Allround edge and corner wear.
- Just about legible lettering ("The Pink Floyd") on the spine.
- Ring wear on back cover.
- Two light creases on front cover (at top).
MINT- RECORD, played once or twice at most. Amazingly, the record itself is pretty much perfect!
- Pristine vinyl on both sides, with impeccable audio reproduction throughout.
- The record has a single, tiny superficial scuff (3-4 mm) at the very end of Side Two. This small scuff is absolutely inaudible.
- Light blue Columbia Records labels in EX+ condition, with a few lightest spindle lines.
- Other than that, no hairlining or other signs of play whatsoever.
- Also includes the original German polylined inner sleeve, date-stamped "4/69" at bottom right.
- The matrix stamps in the run-off grooves read "1C 062-04292-A-1" and "1C 062-04292-B-1", respectively.
- This issue of "The Piper At The Gates Of Dawn" is certified to be a second German pressing, released in April 1969.
