Description

This is an auction for an original copy of Pink Floyd's 'The Wall'. The Lp has the cream coloured sleeve and rounded inners consistent with an early first press. The matrix numbers are:

4111A2U, 4111B3U, 4112A3U, 4112 B3U

The sleeve is in superb, clean, mint - condition with beautiful crisp corners and no signs of ringwear. Inside the sleeve is bright and colourful with no flaws. The inners are also in superb condition with only one small crease/bump. The sleeve has the characteristics of an early pressing. For example, the sleeve is made from one piece of card which is sealed at the inside top of the Lp, the mark of an early pressing. Wording inside (starting 8th brick down) says 'produced by David Gilmour Bob Ezrin Roger Waters'. Later pressings have all band members' names listed - this one does not. In addition, the bricks do not align right to the bottom of the sleeve like later pressings.

All four sides of this Lp look superb. There are only a few, tiny spider marks indicating very little play indeed.  I have looked at all sides under light conditions and all are close to mint minus condition with only a few tiny hairlines. The records retain their original lustre and would be a superb addition to any collection. Labels are also in superb condition - very bright and clear.
