HERE WE HAVE A SUPERB!!! UK HARVEST (SHDW 411) FIRST ISSUE!!! (November 30, 1979) OF PINK FLOYD'S OUTSTANDING DOUBLE LP SET, "The Wall" WITH ONE OF THE VERY FIRST MATRIX SETS, CONTAINING THE RARE A-1U!!! AND HAVING THE ORIGINAL FIRST PRESS INNERS WITH THE CATALOGUE NUMBER PRINTED ON ONE LINE!! - VERY SCARCE!!

MATRIX: A-2U / B-3U / A-1U / B-2U

THE LPs ARE HOUSED IN THE ORIGINAL FIRST ISSUE GATEFOLD SLEEVE AND COME COMPLETE WITH THE TWO ORIGINAL LYRIC INNER SLEEVES (for all first issue criteria for the sleeve and inners, see below)
THIS WAS ONE OF THE FIRST COPIES TO HIT THE SHOPS IN NOVEMBER 1979 AND AS ONE OF THOSE VERY FIRST COPIES THERE IS NO ACETATE 'STICKER' (see below for an explanation)

A STUNNING DOUBLE LP AND MASSIVELY RARE WITH ITS A-2U / B-3U / A-1U / B-2U MATRIX SET!!!!!!

THERE ARE SOME SPECIAL CRITERIA WHICH MARK THIS COPY OUT AS A FIRST ISSUE:
Front Cover: Gatefold sleeve. Printed by Garrod & Lofthouse Ltd. The sleeve is cream coloured, not true white (as with later issues), with the brick outlines in purple and not completely aligned to the bottom edge. The cover is made from a thicker cardboard construction than on later printings and is made of ONE SINGLE THICK PIECE OF CARD with only ONE join on the top edge. The ONE single join is a sure way of making sure you have a first press sleeve. There is also no barcode on the back cover (unlike the later mid-80s pressings)
Inside Cover: The credits on the inside cover do not list the members of Pink Floyd. It only says "Words and Music - Roger Waters."
Inner Sleeves: Heavy cardboard inner sleeves, printed by Garrod & Lofthouse Ltd. with rounded corners and a nine-inch thumb notch. The insides are untreated and tan in colour. As the original pressings these inners have just the catalogue number of the specific record listed on a single line in the lower right corner of the inner sleeve (see pics)
Acetate "Sticker": The question of the front 'sticker' is quite problematic. First press copies do come WITH and WITHOUT this little piece of plastic. Pink Floyd were extremely fussy over their sleeves and Roger Waters wanted ABSOLUTELY NOTHING on this sleeve apart from the bricks - NO TITLE/NO BAND NAME - NOTHING!! and copies were sent out as intended. The record shops were however, not impressed and demanded some kind of information for their customers so the album was almost immediately supplied shrink-wrapped with a 'sticker' under the tight shrink-wrap.

LABELS: The record labels are in SUPERB condition with NO wear, NO writing and very few spindle marks!!!! I WOULD SAY THAT THESE RECORDS HAVE HAD A HANDFUL OF PLAYS AT MOST!!!!
VINYLS Visual: Both records lies perfectly flat on the turntable and ALL the surfaces have their original DEEP, LIKE-NEW, GLOSSY SHEEN. On close inspection under bright light I can see only the LIGHTEST of sleeve removal hairline marks which have NO audio consequence whatsoever!! TWO BEAUTIFUL LOOKING VINYLS!!!!
VINYLS Audio: The audio is absolutely OUTSTANDING!! - CRYSTAL CLEAR, VERY strong and VIBRANT!! Tremendous sound quality!! There are NO scratches, NO jumps/sticks and barely ANY surface noise/clicks (hardy ANY!!!) - truly AWESOME and very, VERY rare for a 1st issue copy of this LP which is notoriously prone to lots of excessive surface noise/clicking – but definitely NOT on this copy which has the barest minimum!!!!! The sound quality here is simply SUPERB – TREMENDOUSLY STRONG!!! with NO groove-wear and NO distortion!!!! This copy has NOT been overplayed AT ALL!!!! This must be graded EXCELLENT+ for audio (JUST ABOUT AS GOOD AS IT GETS!!! - really hard to find a copy which will play much better than this!!) SUPERB!! and NOT over-graded in ANY way as I use STRICT RECORD COLLECTOR grading standards!!! A BEAUTIFUL COPY!!!
SLEEVE: The original 1st issue gatefold cover is CLEAN and BRIGHT with only MINIMAL wear and only light ring wear and a few light marks but it still retains its CRISP, LIKE-NEW feel!!! (see pics)
INNER SLEEVES: The 2 lyric inners are also in SUPERB condition – CLEAN and FRESH!!! with no marks, very little wear but most importantly NO splits!!! These original inners with the catalogue number printed on just one line are becoming extremely rare and hard to find!!!!

PLEASE HAVE A LOOK AT MY PICTURES - I USUALLY TAKE QUITE A FEW SO YOU CAN GET A CLEAR INDICATION OF EVERY DETAIL OF THE ITEM
THIS REALLY IS A STUNNING COPY!!! HARDLY PLAYED AT ALL!!
HARD TO FIND WITH A-1U IN THE MATRIX SEQUENCE AND IN AS BEAUTIFUL CONDITION AS THIS - VERY SCARCE!!!!!!!
