PINK FLOYD
Title : The Wall Label : Harvest Cat No : SHSP 4112
Matrix : SHSP 4111 A-3U - B-3U // 4112 A-1U - B-2U Issue : Complete UK 1st Press
This is the UK 1st Press of 'The Wall' by Pink Floyd. This press has the rarest and earliest one piece gatefold sleeve, with only one seam on the inside edge. It is complete with the early A3/B3/A1/B2 matrix, the 1st press die-cut curved edge card inner sleeves, with the last position Roger Waters cover credits and the scarce front cover sticker.
Record 1 is in Excellent condition. The vinyl has a superb high gloss with just a few of the very lightest hairline marks. The label is completely clean, with bright white and bold colours. There is no spindle wear at all. When played the sound is warm, bold and very clear, it sounds superb. Record 2 is in Very Good++ condition. The vinyl looks superb, but there are just a couple of light marks on both sides and a few lines from the cardboard inner sleeves. The labels are immaculate, the colours and text are bold and there is no spindle wear. On playing the sound is warm, vibrant and extremely clear.
The 1st press die-cut curved edge inner sleeves are in Excellent condition. The cream is extremely bright and the text is unworn. There is just the slightest ring wear and a few little marks on Sleeve 1. The edges are exceptionally firm, no edge splits, not even any feathering on the opening edges.
The 1st press matt gatefold sleeve is in Excellent+ condition. The creamy white is exceptionally bright and the blue/purple lines are sharp. The inside looks sensational just like the day it was pressed. There are virtually no signs of age here at all, just a little ring wear and a couple of tiny marks. The edges are extremely firm and the corners are solid. The acetate 'Pink Floyd The Wall' sticker is bright and completely clean with only the slightest discolouration. The spine is very firm and the whole cover still feels exceptionally solid.
