Pink Floyd Ummagumma GENUINE 1st Pressing, 1st Edition, 1st mother stampers in near MINT condition with Ernest J. Day & Co. Ltd. London cover! It's going to be hard to find a better sounding album than this one. The only thing that prevents the Front cover to be near MINT is a sticker that can be removed from it.
The label for side four has the misprint 'Gand' (for 'Grand') and the back cover shows 'Londen' for London. Only a true first pressing has all these attributes. Copies with the above attributes but without the mis-printed 'Londen' can be found, but only a genuine first pressing has ALL these.
COVERS: Front, back and inside look excellent with all its original gloss, spine is fully readable and there are just some tiny tears on corners. The only thing preventing this album from being a near MINT front cover is the sticker, that can be removed, and a name written in the inside gatefold on top left (see pics) LABELS: Near MINT with almost no spindle marks VINYL: It retained all its original sheen from its first release in 1969, looks and plays near MINT. AUDIO: It plays near MINT, some occasional ticks but that's it, an amazing example of this fantastic album! SLEEVE: Comes with the original company sleeve.
This is a genuine 1st UK pressing from November 1969. It is not a reissue.
This has no EMI logos on the labels and the following 1st press matrix numbers:
Side one: SHDW 1 A - 1 - mother GR stamper 1
Side two: SHDW 1 B - 2 - mother GR stamper 1
Side three: SHDW 2 A - 1 - mother T stamper 1
Side four: SHDW 2 B - 2 - mother T stamper 1
First issue without a boxed EMI logo on the yellow/green Harvest label. Outer laminated gatefold sleeve.
