Description
For sale here is a super copy of Pink Floyds iconic "Wish you were here" album.
Suffice to say that original first UK pressings of this album that are housed in their original shrink-wrap outer layer do turn up every so often here on Ebay, but rarely in such an exceptional condition as this example. I will give a detailed description of each part, but please note, this is a visual assessment only.
The cover: Original and genuine cream card cover, around 90% still enclosed inside of its original shrink-wrap from early 1975. The exposed part of the cover has light discolouration obviously, but on the whole this is a lovely example. The original hype sticker to the shrink is 100% complete and still vibrantly coloured. A little feathering to the opening edges, but nothing serious. Conservative grading (and I do mean conservative) is a healthy VG+.
Inner sleeve: Really nice example of the cropped corner inner. No splits, tears or damage of any kind. Really clean example and hard to better. No marks or dirt which often marr these light coloured inners. I grade the inner sleeve as a strong Ex+.
Postcard: The postcard is present and in fantastic condition. No pin holes, sticky tape, blue tack. No creases, rips or tears. Pristine example as if it was printed just yesterday. I grade the postcard as Nm.
The labels: The labels are free from any damage. No marks. Exceptional. I grade the labels as Ex+.
The vinyl: Really the vinyl is the cream of this copy. The original 1975 first pressing with A1/B3 matrices. As this is only a visual based assessment, I cannot categorically rule out any issues when played. However, due to the extremely clean vinyl, I find it hard to believe there would be any issues. I can see no marks of note of any kind. the vinyl has a depth of shine and a gorgeous black lustre. I have been lucky enough to own several of the first pressings over many years of collecting, but only rarely have I seen one as clean as this. I seriously can find no faults to mention whatsoever. As this is a visual appraisal only, I grade as a solid Ex+.
As a complete and original first UK pressing with the A1 and B3 matrix numbers, correct black shrink wrapped cover, postcard and outer hype sticker, I really have to grade overall as excellent. Somebody is going to be very happy!!
I will post overseas, although I have had issues in the past from both Russia and Italy. I have listed the price for UK postage only. If an overseas ebayer wants this, please contact me before bidding to discuss postal options. I DO NOT make anything on the postage. I charge the exact cost (often less) that I pay. I DO NOT charge for packing materials and I try to use recycled packing anyway. I also dress all my albums in a brand new heavyweight plastic cover and a brand new anti-static inner sleeve. All vinyl is packed outside of the cover and 2 stiffeners are used in transit. I have sold many valuable vinyls over the years and am often credited with Fort Knox style packing. Please bid with peace of mind that what you see is what you get.
