Description
Wish You Were Here A6 / B14 + Postcard
This obviously isn't a first pressing but it is an early pressing nonetheless. This LP was released in vast numbers after the success of 'Dark Side' so the A6/B14 matrix was issued soon after the A1/B3 pressings, the same year in fact. It includes the postcard and the handshake sticker which is attached to a PVC sleeve. Interestingly the vinyl only has mother numbers stamped on the run out grooves, no stamper letters.

Visual grading
This vinyl is visually stunning and retains a beautiful glossy sheen. Quite simply it looks 'as new' and there is only a hint of spindle wear on each side. Under a strong bright light I could only see one obvious hairline, it is only very faint and has no affect on the immaculate audio. As detailed below this vinyl has probably only been played twice at most judging by the fantastic audio.
Play grading
This vinyl is absolutely stunning! Apart from a handful of dust ticks at the beginning of 'Shine On...' the whole of Side One plays with the most incredible audio I think I have ever heard. For an early pressing to play this well is such a rarity and I cannot express just how good the clarity is here. There is just no background interference whatsoever and in all honesty new vinyl released today often does not sound as good as this! It is obvious this vinyl has only been played once, maybe twice judging by the lack of spindle wear and the Mint quality of the audio. 'Welcome To The Machine' does not disappoint either and once again has no interference, not even a single dust tick. Audio does not get better than this! I have to mention it again the clarity and depth of the sound is breathtaking, I don't think I have ever heard a better 'Wish You Were Here' and it knocks spots of the recent reissues.
'Have a Cigar' once more plays with stunning sound quality. Again a handful of barely audible dust ticks that do not detract from the audio. To re-iterate you will find dust ticks on new vinyl and they are practically impossible to remove. This is just how vinyl plays. Shock horror I heard one faint click on the 'Wish You Were Here' intro! Other than that this classic track plays like new, so rare for 41 years old! And all the more incredible when you consider how quietly it plays. I'm running out of superlatives here but the intro to 'Shine On... (Part Two)' is just Mint, no two ways about it. You will not find better. The remainder of the track plays in exactly the same way. There are no clicks, pops - no interference to mention at all. This is just quality audio at its best.
In summary this is a genuine final upgrade early pressing of this classic album. I listened to every second of the quality audio and it is just spine tingling! I sell and listen to a lot of Pink Floyd records and this is up there with the best I have ever heard. I am confident in grading it as Mint- with the minus only being utilised as the LP isn't sealed! It is absolutely stunning and any Floyd fan/collector would love to have this in their collection.
Cover
The iconic glossy cover is in immaculate condition. The edges have no shelf wear and apart from one tiny pinch the spine is also of near Mint quality. The only thing that keeps this cover from being Mint is a couple of creases on the front and back. It has retained its 'whiteness' superbly well throughout the years. The opening edge also has no handling wear at all. A stunning cover that easily grades as Near Mint.As stated the handshake sticker is included and can be found attached to the plastic sleeve accompanying the album. It is in excellent condition with no tears, just a couple of minor creases.
Lyric inner
This has the inner sleeve with the square corners and is the later version of it for this pressing. It is practically like new save for a couple of tiny, very minor blemishes. It really is in superb condition. There are no splits to any of the sides.
Postcard
The postcard has straight edges and again is like new.
The labels
They are both in perfect condition with no markings and minimal spindle wear.
