Description
This early press of Wish You Were Here is in fabulous condition and comes complete with the iconic postcard. Under a bright light Side One looks stunning and barely played and I can only detect 3/4 very faint hairlines on Side Two. Listening to this iconic LP now Side One plays fantastically well with only minimal crackle here and there as you would expect for an LP of nearly 40 years old. I must stress it is only slight. There is a little crackle at the beginning of 'Wish You Were Here' but it soon dissipates. This early press is in wonderful condition, the clarity is stunning for its age, would not disappoint any collector.
The cover is superb and shows hardly any wear, it almost 'as new'. There are just a couple of faint creases but you have to look extremely hard to see them. All edges and corners are in perfect order, it has a very clean opening edge and the spine is still strong and clearly legible.
The die cut lyric sleeve is in excellent condition and as per the early presses the corners are cropped. This one is printed on finer card though not the heavy duty cardboard of the first presses. It has a couple of faint marks but nonetheless is in almost 'as new' condition. As stated the postcard is included and has a very minor crease in one corner. This postcard has straight edges though not serrated.
Play tested on my Technics SL-J110R turntable system.
Released on the Harvest label SHVL 814 / Matrix numbers A6/B14
I would grade Side One as Near Mint-
Side Two is Ex+
The cover is Near Mint-
The lyric inner is Ex+
The labels are Near Mint (very little sign of spindle wear)
The postcard is Near Mint

I ONLY SEND ITEMS TO ITALY, RUSSIA AND SOUTH AMERICA "SIGNED FOR" AS TOO MANY ITEMS GO MISSING AND COSTS AN ADDITIONAL £6.00. PLEASE ONLY BID IF YOU AGREE WITH THIS.
I ALWAYS COMBINE POSTAGE COSTS IF MORE THAN ONE ITEM IS WON / DOUBLE LPs COUNT AS TWO RECORDS.
ALL RECORDS ARE PROFESSIONALLY PACKED IN STRONG MAILERS WITH CARDBOARD STIFFENERS. THE RECORDS ARE ALSO REMOVED FROM THEIR SLEEVES TO AVOID CUTTING THROUGH THE COVER AND PUT INTO A SEPARATE SLEEVE, AND THEN PLACED INSIDE A PVC SLEEVE.
