Description
This first press of Wish You Were Here is in excellent condition and comes complete with the iconic postcard. Under a bright light I can detect some fine hairlines with a couple of more noticeable marks on Side Two. However, for nearly 40 years old it is first press that would add to any collection. For any that are concerned A1/B5 are definitely first issues not only the A1/B3. It was never released as an A1/B1 or B2 or B4.
Overall the cover is in excellent order, no shrink wrap sadly! There is slight ringwear at the top and and minor wear to the edges and a couple of light marks on the reverse but as I say it is still in excellent condition. The spine is still strong, thin at both ends and wider in the middle as when first released.
The heavy cardboard die cut lyric sleeve is in wonderful condition and as per the first presses the corners are cropped. It just has a very thin split to one side, so fine I hardly noticed it!
Released on the Harvest label SHVL 814 / Matrix numbers A1/B5
I would grade Side One as Ex
Side Two is VG++
The cover is Ex
The lyric inner is Ex++
The labels are Near Mint
The postcard (with serrated edges) is Near Mint

ALL RECORDS ARE PROFESSIONALLY PACKED IN STRONG MAILERS WITH CARDBOARD STIFFENERS. THE RECORDS ARE ALSO REMOVED FROM THEIR SLEEVES TO AVOID CUTTING THROUGH THE COVER AND PUT INTO A SEPARATE SLEEVE, AND THEN PLACED INSIDE A PVC SLEEVE.
