1975 UK 1st press Floyd prog gem - increasingly hard to find in such great condition as this
Year/Label : 1975 UK HARVEST Label number : SHVL 814 Matrix numbers : SHVL 814 A-1, SHVL 814 B-1 with "HTM" etched onto side 2 run-out Stampers : 4 A0R / 3 GDTExcellent plus (EX+) condition vinyl (some would grade as "near mint", I am sure) - completely flat and retaining a beautiful jet black lacquered sheen, coming across as unmarked in normal daylight and it is only with close inspection under a bright light that just the very occasional small and extremely faint paper scuff line can be detected. The labels are in excellent plus (EX+) condition also - just two small and extremely faint spindle trails adjacent to the centre hole on the side 1 label, otherwise perfect. Clearly this is a record that has been played only a few times. Excellent plus (EX+) condition sleeve...actually it should be mint condition since it is still covered with the original blank shrink wrap (opened at one end) which I have not tried to remove, though the 1st press "pinched" ends of the outer sleeve can clearly be felt through the shrink wrap. The cardboard lyric inner sleeve (die-cut on 3 of the 4 corners) with opening notch on the top edge is near perfect with none of the usual seam splits. And the 1st press postcard with jagged edges is present though it does have some mild but noticeable creasing (see photos) which is just about the only blemish of this wonderful copy. Superb, excellent plus (EX+) sound quality with no sticks, skips, repeats, clicks, distortion or background crackle - wonderful tone and crystal clear stereo reproduction throughout with brilliant hard-to-fault sound quality throughout. I think I detected a couple of very minor background static crackles on side 2 but this is no more than you would expect from a brand new record. Note that I always ship the vinyl in a new plain white inner sleeve in order to protect the original. An excellent plus condition copy of this 1975 UK 1st press Pink Floyd classic, increasingly hard to come by especially in condition as truly impressive as this.

Note that I always insert the vinyl into a new plain white poly-lined inner sleeve in order to protect the original during postage, and separate this from the outer sleeve to prevent seam splits. I use thick cardboard stiffeners and take great care in my packaging to ensure as far as possible that these precious records reach their destination in exactly the same condition as when they leave me.
