Description
PINK FLOYD - WISH YOU WERE HERE
A truly excellent copy of this 1975 UK original with brilliant stereo sound quality throughout
Year/Label : 1975 UK HARVEST Label number : SHVL 814 Matrix numbers : SHVL 814 A-1, SHVL 814 B-5 (with "HTM" etched into side 2 run-off) Stampers : 4 ADG / 1 4 RMExcellent plus (EX+) condition vinyl - flat and retaining an impressive jet black lacquered sheen still and coming across as unmarked in normal daylight. With very close inspection under a bright light it is possible to detect a few extremely fine paper scuff lines (more like grazes than scuffs) on each side - nothing feelable, all non-obvious and all appearing to be purely superficial as evidenced by the wonderful stereo sound quality. The labels are in excellent plus (EX+) condition - just 1 or 2 (literally!) small and barely discernible faint spindle trails adjacent to the centre hole on each label, otherwise perfect. Clearly this is a record that has been only very sparingly played (a handful of times in my estimation) and well looked after. An excellent (EX) condition Garrod & Lofthouse outer sleeve - firm edges devoid of any scuffing, a rigid and unmarked spine with all spine text perfectly intact, perfectly defined right angled corners with barely any rubbing, firm opening edges with no fraying, and all colours, art work and text remaining in great condition with perfect definition still. The only blemish of note is a non-obvious 11 cm very light diagonal crease in the front-side top right corner which does show through to the reverse side top left corner where there is also some very, very mild discolouration - neither the crease (more of a "crinkle" than a crease) or the discolouration are obvious but they are there - do take a good look at my photos. The all-important 1st press inner cardboard sleeve is in near mint (NM) condition, complete with die-cuts on 3 of the 4 corners and a 9 inch thumb notch on the top edge. No side splits, no creasing, no edge fraying, no tears, no discolouration...just about perfect! Note : there is no postcard with this copy. Excellent plus (EX+) stereo sound quality with no sticks, skips, repeats, distortion or background crackle - a great listen from start to finish with great tone and clarity. You may come across just one or two random very light clicks on each side caused either by static or the odd speck of dust caught in the grooves through decades of upright storage. Note that I always ship the vinyl in a new plain white inner sleeve in order to protect the original. A truly excellent condition copy of this 1975 UK original Pink Floyd classic, with the brilliant stereo sound quality being a real highlight.
