Used Japanese Import Vinyl Record
Record Label: CBS/Sony 25AP 1258 (Japan)
This is a 1978 record (originally released in 1975). It is a Japanese import, high quality pure virgin vinyl, with a custom inner sleeve, three post cards, a poster and a four panel, 12"x12" information /lyric sheet in Japanese.
Condition: This is the original Japanese version that had a black plastic film covering the original album cover. The plastic film was opened down the side to remove the album, but left in place over the cover. Both sleeve and record are in EX condition.

Review: WISH YOU WERE HERE remains the classic mid-period Floyd album that still partially clung to their MEDDLE template; but two of the album's four songs revealed the bleakness that would be part of Floyd's new vision. Stuck with the impossible task of following DARK SIDE OF THE MOON, Pink Floyd did it with panache....'Shine On You Crazy Diamond' is the mellifluous rock-gospel opener, but there's weirder stuff here...
Japanese vinyl releases are premium quality pressings, much sought after by audiophiles and collectors alike. In the 1960s Toshiba pioneered top quality vinyl pressings using their trademark ‘Ever-Clean’ process. This utilized a special ingredient intended to prevent the build-up of static electricity on the vinyl. Japanese pressings are synonymous with quality - the vinyl shines like no other vinyl - everything about their releases feels special.
Grading for LP DescriptionsSS = Brand new, sealed
M- = Near mint, or unplayed condition. cover looks as close to perfect with only minor signs of wear and or age.
EX or VG++ = Minor scuffs which are only slightly visible. There may be more than a few scuffs and NO Scratches. Will not distract significantly from the sound. Cover also has only slight wear, and is still in nice collectible condition.
VG+ = Vinyl still has a great luster, record shows wear, surface scuffs. But the flaws will be noticeable to the naked eye. A virtually clean cover, but may have small writing on it.The artwork looks clean with slightly more aging. The back of the cover usually gives away the age of the cover. Flat white paper will be somewhat yellow yet no stains or mildew from water damage.
VG = Overall wear, but no skips of serious defects, more noisy sound during quiet passages. Cover may have drill hole or tears, usually with heavy ring wear.
VG- = Heavy wear on record and cover. Guarantee does not apply to vg- or worse condition records. May have scotch taped seams.
P = Poor or rough condition. Can still be used for framing.
