USA HALF-SPEED MASTER EXTENDED RANGE VINYL LP WITH INSERT, ORIGINAL ANTI-STATIC INNER SLEEVE AND OUTER PLASTIC SLEEVE WITH REAR FLAP STICKER [NO FRONT STICKER].

Without any doubt, aside from the UK first pressings of this album, this half-speed master cut from original tapes is the finest listening copy ever released of this Floyd classic. An audiophile's dream: Perfect music on a perfectly engineered recording on a near-perfect pressing (i.e. finally a copy devoid of allt eh surface noises usually associated with this album on even clean looking copies.

This pressing has magnificent sound staging which is wider and subtle, Gilmour's guitar tone is gorgeous, the instrument nuances are better placed with more spacious textures. Balances are firmer in the bottom end with a far-tighter bass. Upper-mid ranges shine without harshness, and the overall depth is more immersive, with inner details more clearer. The music tends to sound more ‘alive’ and vibrant.

SLEEVE: VERY GOOD+, JUST SHORT OF EXCELLENT MINUS. THE LIGHTEST OF SHELF AND CORNER WEAR. LOVELY CLEAN WHITES. INSERT AND INNER SLEEVE ARE EXCLLENT MINUS.

DISC: EXCELLENT. NO SCRATCHES. NO SPINDLE WEAR, DISC DOES NOT LOOK PLAYED MORE THAN ONCE, IF THAT. WE PLAY-CHECKED THE INTRO TO 'SHINE ON YOU CRAZY DIAMOND' ON THE NEW REGA RP10 TURNTABLE AND IT IS A DELIGHTFULLY QUIET PRESSING WITH NO SURFACE NOISES, OFFERING AWESOME AUDIO. WE WOULD SAY THAT THIS PRESSING IS ONE OF THE QUIETEST WE HAVE HEARD IN A LONG TIME, MUCH QUIETER THAN MOST UK ORIGINAL FIRST PRESSINGS. CLEAN LABELS.
