HERE WE HAVE A REALLY SUPERB!!! UK HARVEST (SHVL 814) FIRST ISSUE (September 15, 1975) OF PINK FLOYD'S OUTSTANDING,"Wish You Were Here" LP, COMPLETE IN ITS ORIGINAL BLACK SHRINK WRAP WITH THE 'WISH YOU WERE HERE' STICKER AND THE ORIGINAL 'CUT CORNER' INNER SLEEVE AND SERRATED EDGE GLOSSY POSTCARD!!!!
THIS FIRST PRESS COPY HAS THE RARE VARIANT SIDE LOADING INNER SLEEVE (see pics). THESE INNERS ARE VERY, VERY RARE AND HARDLY EVER SEEN!!
THIS IS ONE OF THE MOST BEAUTIFUL SOUNDING COPIES OF THIS ALBUM I HAVE EVER AUCTIONED - MADE ALL THE MORE REMARKABLE BY THE FACT THAT IT'S A FIRST PRESSING!!!!

NOTE ON THE AUDIO REPRODUCTION OF WYWH: In my experience this LP, along with The Wall and The Final Cut is probably one of the most problematic Pink Floyd LPs with regards to the audio quailty!!
I have found that even mint looking copies of this LP can play with lots of excessive clicking, surface noise and even distortion!!! (with the first solo guitar break on "Shine On You Crazy Diamond" being especially problematic as regards distortion!!)
In 1975, in expectation of demand, after the unprecedented success of The Dark Side Of The Moon, EMI rushed out copies of this LP far too quickly without proper quality control and in consequence far too many of these early pressings are extremely poor!!!
Many, many copies of this album have passed through my hands over the years and I know how difficult it is to find a decent playing copy, especially one which will pass on higher-end systems. I am therefore pleased to report that this copy is one of the BEST examples of this rare first pressing I have had the pleasure of hearing!!!!

LABELS: The Harvest Picture labels are in SUPERB condition!!! CLEAN and BRIGHT with hardly a trace of any spindle marks!!!!!
VINYL Visual: Both surfaces have their original DEEP, LIKE-NEW, GLOSSY SHEEN!!!! There are some very light surface marks but these have NO major audio consequence WHATSOEVER!!
VINYL Audio: STUNNING!! Absolutely OUTSTANDING audio delivery in every respect!! Covers a fantastic dynamic range with all frequencies BRIGHT and CLEAR!!! The audio is really AMAZING!! CRYSTAL CLEAR, BEAUTIFULLY RICH and VERY STRONG!!!!! As I explained earlier this can be a VERY problematic LP regarding the audio quality but this copy PLAYS BEAUTIFULLY THROUGHOUT!!!! One of the best I have ever heard !! There are NO scratches, skips or jumps and NO groove-wear or distortion!!! There are barely ANY clicks or pops (really, hardly ANY!!!) and only extremely low levels of surface noise on some (not all) of the quieter passages - which is incredibly rare for a first press (or in fact, ANY press) of this album!!!! Must very strictly grade this copy as EXCELLENT(+) and in my experience first press copies really DO NOT COME BETTER THAN THIS!!! SUPERB!!
SLEEVE: The cover still retains the original black shrink wrapping with the WYWH sticker!!! As I am sure you are aware this wrapping is very delicate and easily damaged and apart from the expected withdrawal from the opening edge the wrapping has come away from the bottom edge for about half its length. The wrap has however, NEVER been removed from the sleeve so the cover underneath should be perfect (although there is a little feathering to the exposed opening edge). The sleeve is held inside an outer protective plastic sleeve which keeps all the black wrapping firmly in place!!
INNER SLEEVE: The original first issue inner with square cut corners and 9" opening thumb notch is in SUPERB condition!!! This copy is the scarce side loading variant, very rarely seen!! There is ONE small spot on the info side (see pics) but otherwise it is BEAUTIFULLY CLEAN!! The LP is now housed in a new inner sleeve and will be posted to you in this sleeve as I believe inner sleeves, especially thick untreated card ones like this should be used as inserts only as they always damage the LP over time!!
POSTCARD: The original, serrated edge, GLOSSY postcard is MINT!!

THIS REALLY IS AN OUTSTANDING COPY!!! AND AS A VERY EARLY *COMPLETE* FIRST PRESSING IN ITS ORIGINAL BLACK SHRINK WRAP WITH THE GLOSSY POSTCARD AND RARE SIDE LOADING INNER SLEEVE!!!!! - VERY, VERY SCARCE!!
