mega-rare 1968 UK Columbia very first press vinyl LP with earliest possible mother & stamper codings !!

rare UK first press vinyl LP released 1968 on black/blue COLUMBIA label with catalognumber SCX 6258.  Underneath the blue "Columbia" on the labels it says "Sold in U.K. subject to resale price conditions. See price lists." The text around the bottom edge of the labels starts at 10 o'clock, and yes it also says: "Made in GT Britain" ... Matrix numbers are YAX 3633-1 and YAX 3634-1 both stamped. 

Clearly this copy is one of the earliest copies pressed and seriously rare - virtually impossible to find... as pointed out by many UK dealers, back in 1968 mono copies still dominated the UK market and demand for stereos was absolutely tiny. But what makes it so rare is that it has the earliest 1/R  1/G  mother & stamper codings (both stamped), which are both from the first mother ever used, i.e. clearly this LP was one of the first few hundred copies ever made, way before the release date. It has the letters "K" and "T" stamped on the side 2 label as only done on the very first pressings. No doubt this is absolutely one of the earliest and rarest first pressings made ...!!

Laminated flipback cover complete with original EMI innersleeve shows only little signs of time, and vinyl playgrades NEARMINT/MINT, tested with highend equipment and Koetsu Urushi system - fantastic copy!  Best copy I have seen in many years ... Don't miss this top copy of this famous Pink Floyd masterpiece recorded with true audiophile soundquality... see photo.
