PINK FLOYD'S CLASSIC 1970 STUDIO ALBUM: ATOM HEART MOTHER
First Pressing from 1970 with Matrices: A1, B1 and "The Gramophone..." text, "Harvest" on the left plus no boxed EMI logo.
I've just listed an unplayed copy of Meddle and have a really good reason why I never played it - I had another copy. This time, I really don't know why the record looks unplayed but it does! There's absolutely no evidence at all that a stylus has been anywhere near it, no marks at all.
This copy of Atom Heart Mother has probably NEVER BEEN PLAYED!! (Except by me just now - to grade it).
I'll repeat what I wrote in my description of Meddle: "It looks and sounds BRAND NEW. I think that more dust settled on the vinyl surface when I took it out of the inner sleeve than it has ever experienced since the day it was pressed. I could go on about the deep black of the vinyl and total lack of any marks on it, the brilliant lemon and green of the labels, the absence of any spindle marks, but I won't"
I think that everyone knows what a new record looks like and this looks like one!'
(Here I have to own up that, when play-grading, I left a small spindle mark on the label of S2.)
The Gatefold Sleeve is pretty much Excellent. Storage and handling have softened corners and edges and the text on the spine is easily readable but fading (lower section of #3). See the image (#6) for a very small tear to the bottom of the rear cover.

A few details on the sleeve that I appear to have missed from the above: Gatefold, obviously, with no damage at all, very clear and vibrant pictures and straight, sharp open edges. There is slight evidence of handling and storage wear; very sight softening of all corners, for instance, including a tiny crumple at the top of the spine, and very faint ringwear at the very top of front and back. The spine is rigid and the text is well readable but fading. The interior is 100%, otherwise, it's perfect.
