Description

This is my EX / EX copy of this 'PINK LABEL', Island Records release from 1967 by singer / songwriter JACKIE EDWARDS. It is produced by American JIMMY MILLER (Traffic), with string arrangements by the brilliant SYD DALE! Jackie had scored hits for Specer Davies group as a writer and this was his own 6th LP for Island! Jackie has a really soulfull vocal style and the choice of covers here show he was mixing with the new wave of young artists, covering Tim Hardin, Mick & Keith, Colin Blunstone (Zombies) and Neil Diamond. My favourites are his own 'Put Your Tears Away' and 'Girl You'll Be A Woman Soon' by Neil Diamond. Now a rarity in it's own right and long deleted, one of the hard ones for UK Island 'original pressing' collectors to find!! The sleeve is in EX condition with just a hint of life on my record shelves, it has a strong and fully readable spine and the record is also EX! WARM and SOULFUL!
