Pinnochio & the Puppets: “Fusion/Cowboys and Indians” on Mercury 72659
A stunning WLP-copy of this very much sought-after instrumental psych-45 by this gang, which was actually New York’s Teddy Boys using a pseudonym. “Fusion” was compiled on Erik Lindgren’s fantastic “Everything You Always Wanted To Know About '60s Mind Expanding Punkadelic Garage Rock Instrumentals But Were Afraid To Ask” (Hiya, Erik!)!
This mega-clean and glossy copy only has a couple of fine hair-lines and some tiny amount of dust in the grooves. There is some smudging in the dead-wax, which should be easy to get rid of. The labels have some light glue-repair around the perimeters, but are in otherwise amazing shape (see scans). All in all this is graded VG+++ to NM- aurally and visually. You won’t find a better copy!
