Description

Hello and welcome. Beginning in the 1960s, I made it my goal to collect every 5-star record still available, and I continued my search for 40 years, long after records were replaced by reels, cassettes and CDs. While not all the items I list for sale reached that lofty goal, they do represent an undying search for the unique and wonderful in the world of sound. I'm happy to be able to offer them to you now. Here is what you're bidding on:
TITLE & ARTIST: "Bozo Under the Sea" - by Pinto Colvig on the Capitol Records label (DBX 99), in EXCELLENT condition, released in 1948.
CONDITION OF JACKET: Excellent, with very light edge/spine wear; 18-page Full Color booklet still snugly attached to spine with some light page wear (Please see photos of actual item offered).
CONDITION OF DISC(S) - Excellent, with very light scuffs to glossy surface. Dark Blue label.
SPECIAL FEATURES: This wonderful record "album" (from the days when a record album was similar to a photo album, including several records and often other illustrations) is part of Capitol Records great series of children's records from the '40s and '50s. Each album includes multiple story/song records. Many of the albums include sewn-in full size booklets richly illustrated and designed for "read along" fun for the children. Most of the albums are almost priceless, featuring such beautiful artwork and such heart-warming stories. Prized as collectables, these records still play beautifully and can still provide countless hours of delight for young and old listeners alike. Likewise the lovely illustrations can decorate a 21st century child's room in a spectacular and uniquely "retro" way.
GUARANTEE: As with all of our products, this item is guaranteed to be exactly as described or we will cheerfully return your payment. Thanks.
TRACKS: This album includes two 78 rpm Capitol "Superflex" records. The tracks are: "Bozo Under the Sea" on all 4 sides, with orchestra conducted by Billy May.
OUR GRADING SYSTEM: We grade visually, and we are happy to listen to any record and give you an aural grade as well. SS (Still Sealed as from the factory); NM (Near Mint - our highest grade; the vinyl has only a very few light marks that do not affect play); VG++/EX (Very Good Plus Plus - a few more light marks than Near Mint; still a great record that plays near perfectly); VG+ (Very Good Plus - an enjoyable, played and loved, obviously used but still listenable record, usually with some light pops, but free of major audible distraction; jacket may be lightly worn, slightly dinged, even very lightly split, but NEVER trashed); VG (Very Good) and below - we usually do NOT sell these, but if we have some good reason to offer such a record, we will explain completely).
Thanks! If you have further questions about condition or content, please don't hesitate to ask. You may bid with unworried confidence. Our sales history is your assurance of absolute integrity. Thank you and good luck
