Jimmy’s organ is something else again on this 1969 release, the man at the keyboards supplying this big-band context with some truly fine solos.

Great stuff, in GROOVE DROPS, DAYS OF WINE AND ROSES, SUNNY, ODE TO BILLY JOE, and WHO CAN I TURN TO, among others.

Great copy, too: Cover without fault, crisp; record within – an MGM platter – should play near mint.

One of the few Verve releases engineered entirely by Mercury Records George Piros.
