PLASTIC PENNY - TWO SIDES OF A PENNY
Under the radar British psych gem on the revered Page One record label, highly regarded & much sought after
Year/Label : 1968 UK PAGE ONE Label number : POLS.005 Matrix numbers : POLS 005 1Y 1, POLS 005 2Y 1Excellent plus (EX+) condition vinyl which comes across as completely unmarked in normal daylight,and even close inspection under a bright light reveals nothing more than just a couple of small wispiest of wispy hairlines and extremely faint tiny paper scuffs - each non-obvious, non-feelable, surface only, and purely superficial. The labels are excellent (EX) with all red text on plain white background in perfect order, the only blemishes being just 5 or 6 very small and extremely faint spindle trails adjacent to the centre hole on each side. Clearly, this is a record that has been only sparingly played. Very good plus (VG+) condition front-side laminated Garrod & Lofthouse outer sleeve : nice firm edges, including the spine where all spine text remains perfectly intact. There are just a few tiny scuff "nicks" on the edges but not a significant scuff in sight. There are a number (I counted 27) of 1-2 cm front-side laminate crinkles adjacent and perpendicular to the top, bottom and spine edges and a further minor 6cm diagonal surface crinkle towards the top right corner. On the reverse side the flipbacks remain in great shape and there is just the odd small and very light handling/storage mark. Still fully funtional and highly presentable, and difficult to believe that this sleeve and record are actually 57 years old! Excellent plus (EX+) stereo sound quality with no sticks, skips, repeats, clicks, or distortion and any background crackle is at an absolute minimum and only occasional ie just some very faint and non-intrusive crackle during a couple of the intermisiions on suide 1 - negligible.. Every track remains a great listen - this is underrated, under the radar, almost forgotten quality psych - such an impressive LP! Comes with excellent (EX) condition plain white poly-lined inner sleeve with no side splits, no edge fraying, some very minor age discolouration and a little creasing towards the corners. Note that I always ship the vinyl in a new plain white inner sleeve in order to protect the original. Such an underrated psych gem, only now receiving the praise that the quality of each track deserves.

Note that I always insert the vinyl into a new plain white poly-lined inner sleeve in order to protect the original during postage, and separate this from the outer sleeve to prevent seam splits. I use thick cardboard stiffeners and take great care in my packaging to ensure as far as possible that these precious records reach their destination in exactly the same condition as when they leave me.
