Here for sale is Drive By Truckers - Gangstabilly 2007, Limited Special Edition on 2 Discs, 180gram HQ Vinyl.

This album is from my personal collection of 500+ Vinyl  LP Records, which I have very rarely played for the last 8 years or so, since purchasing  a very good digital playback  system. I have therefore decided finally to sell all of my records.

Imported from the USA, Special edition New West NW5004,  pressed on excellent sounding  HQ 180gram x 2 vinyl LPs.

This special edition is not now available on the New West website and is very rare, especially here in the UK. As at today, 6/11/2023, there are only 2 other copies of this edition of the album for sale here on eBay, both in the USA. Both are sealed copies, one priced at £82 inc. shipping, the other at £140. VAT would also be due on imports.

The album has only been played between 3 and 5 times. It has been played from start to finish in order to be graded, according to the Record Collector's Grading System (see end of listing for Grading categories and their descriptions).

Up to now, I have tended to avoid grading albums as 'Mint', as any album that has been played is not mint. However, this is the first album I have listed that is close to being mint.

My Grading for this album is :-

Vinyl : EX to NM      Cover : EX to NM

The vinyl is near mint. A perfect sheen but in common with the other Drive by Truckers 2007 180g pressings that I bought, there are a small number of marks/discolourations which must have been introduced at the pressing plant, but which are cosmetic and do not, themselves, affect the sound quality.

Having played all 3 sides through, the records play as they did when brand new. For accuracy, there are a couple of short, surface crackles on side 2, in between tracks 1 and 2.

Side 4 is 'blank' i.e. No music is pressed on this side.

The record labels are in excellent condition.

The fold out cover is also Ex+ to near mint (see photos), just a slight, small crease at the top of the spine, the slightest of wear to the 2 bottom outer corners and slight outer vinyl ringmarks can just be made out under a light. From memory, most, and if not all of these imperfections were there when received, caused by the tightly wrapped polythene and shipping.

Every record that I sell will have been cleaned on a Moth Mk. 2 record cleaning machine, using 'The One' cleaning fluid, which is then vacuumed off by the machine (they often don't look as though they need a clean but sometimes there are impurities left behind in the pressing process, so I feel it's always worth doing).

I have done my best to give an accurate and honest description of their condition. Hopefully, this will lead to little or no disappointments for the buyer and myself.

Records will be despatched with the vinyl in an archival quality anti-static, anti-dust/dirt, anti-scratch inner sleeve,  the album cover inside a polythene outer sleeve, all inside a double walled cardboard mailer.

Record Collectors Grading System

Mint (M) 

The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet. booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Records marked as Sealed or Unplayed should be Mint.

Excellent (EX)

The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.

Very Good (VG)

The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects is acceptable.

Good (G)

The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discolouration, etc.

Fair (F)

The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump. The cover and contents will be torn, stained and/or defaced.

Poor (P)

The record will not play properly due to scratched, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing.

Bad (B)

The record is unplayable or might even be broken, and is only of use as a collection-filler.
