"The Playboy Jazz All-Stars, Vol. 2" various artists 2 LP set (Playboy 1958; mono). This obscure and limited release 1958 double LP set, which is not available on CD (to my knowledge), is an original pressing in VG++ condition on the white labels with the Playboy rabbit logo in orange. The labels are clean. Artists on the LP, who were the winners of Playboy's annual jazz poll, include Frank Sinatra, Louis Armstrong, Dave Brubeck, Ella Fitzgerald, Paul Desmond, Benny Goodman, Chet Baker, Coleman Hawkins, J.J. Johnson, Erroll Garner, Stan Getz, Dizzy Gillespie, Lionel Hampton and many others. The gatefold cover, which includes a booklet with information and discogrpaphys about the artists and which has ring and other wear on the front, is in VG+ condition. Winner pays $4 for Media Mail or $10 for Priority postage in the U.S. Postage is $17 for airmail to Canada or Mexico or $25 for airmail to any other country outside the U.S. PLEASE NOTE: The U.S. Post Office on Jan. 27, 2013, increased by about 50 percent the cost of mailing one LP out of the country, so the new, higher postage costs in my listings reflect that huge increase. The cost of mailing multi-record sets such as this one also increased sharply. I will make no profit from these new, higher shipping costs.
