PLEASE – Seeing Stars. Guerssen GUESS 192. Spanish release. Originally recorded in 1969. This reissue edition released in 2022. NEW SEALED VINYL RECORD ALBUM. This item comes in a clear mylar sleeve with resealable flap and hype sticker, as shipped by the label. MEMBERS:  Peter Dunton (drums, keyboards, lead vocals), Bernie Jinks (bass, backing vocals), and Nick Spenser (guitar, backing vocals).

DESCRIPTION:  “…a surprise stunner of organ-driven, hyper-melodic psych-pop that would feel right at home on Jagjaguwar or Sacred Bones today…” – Nate Rogers (Aquarium Drunkard)

 

Please were formed by Peter Dunton and Bernie Jinks in late 1967. They had just returned to Britain from Germany where they had played with Neon Pearl, which also included their third member Jurgen Ermisch. The fourth original member Adrian Gurvitz later co-founded Gun. Unfortunately this line-up left no vinyl legacy or unreleased recordings that have been located behind it. They disbanded in May 1968 when Peter Dunton joined The Flies for whom he wrote both sides of their Magic Train 45. When The Flies split up at the end of 1968, Dunton reformed the band including himself, Bernie Jinks, and Nick Spenser. This line up recorded all the cuts compiled on this album. Please split again in April 1969 when Peter Dunton joined Gun (in time for their 2nd and final album). The remaining members recruited a new drummer and renamed themselves Bulldog Breed. They later cut the Made In England album. In early 1970 Dunton, Jinks and a later Bulldog Breed member Keith Cross joined forces to form T2, who were responsible for the excellent It'll All Work Out In Boomland album.

All LPs are removed from their jackets and placed outside of the jacket for shipping. If an album comes sealed (and will be noted as such in the above description), it will be shipped whole unless you request that I open it up to place the disc outside of the jacket for shipping. Both jacket and disc are placed inside of an outer plastic sleeve before packing for shipping. I use professional corrugated record mailers with inside packing.

NEW LP:  This item is new and unplayed, but was received from a supplier without being shrink wrapped or cellophane wrapped; more common on imports but also many of the smaller independent US labels do not seal their LPs. These items are placed inside of a clear poly outer sleeve upon their receipt by me

MIX:  This sometimes appears in my title line and refers to a group's/artist's music having a mix of styles such a rock track with jazz then followed by a straight rock track followed by a psych rock track, etc., as opposed to a blues album with the album's tracks having predominantly one style.
