FIRST PRESS MATRIX:- SPB 1009 A-1 and SPB 1009 B-1.
The one and only PLUS LP. Minimal sales meant that they were dropped from
the label after this LP.
As Plus, brothers Mike (drums) and Tony (guitar) Newman and bassist Max Simms found an impressive mentor in the form of ex-Yardbirds bassist/producer Simon Napier-Bell. Guitarist Tony Newman had been a member of The Jeff Beck Group which seeming brought him to the attention of Napier-Bell who was instrumental in getting the trio a recording deal with ABC's short-lived Probe subsidiary.
Needless to say, sales were few and far between.
A studio entity, the trio never toured and without any significant sales to their credit, neither Napier-Bell nor Probe had any further interest in Plus. Engineered by Andy Johns.
Gradings:-NM - no background noise at all. The record plays like new
EX+ minimal crackle
EX slightly more
Records graded EX and better will have no repetitive tics/clicks on them but may have some crackle,
VG+ will have crackle and soft tics/clicks

Disc is FULLY PLAY TESTED. NOT JUST GUESSED AT!
Detailed description.
Vinyl:
Under bright light minimal sleeve removal lines but these have no audible impact. I have played the entire record and it sounds superb. There is NO background noise or crackle. All the run-ins and run-outs are COMPLETELY silent.
This is a super example and was a real pleasure to listen to. I would play-grade both sides as NEAR MINT. How else can it be graded as it plays COMPLTELY silently throughout.
Labels:
There is no damage, writing, stickers etc, just some spindle trails and slight marking around the spindle holes.
Sleeve:
No damage, writing, splits, tears or stickers etc and just light signs of use. There are minor signs of handling but there is nothing of significant anywhere. This is a very presentable example of this original cover and very hard to find like this.
Edge and corner wear:
There is very light wear to the corners but NOTHING on the edges or spine and no splits. Spine is fully legible.
Original plain inner sleeve. No seam splits.
