Very rare 12" 45 RPM EP, earliest pressing (1000 copies only) on red wax. Comes with lyric insert and all in excellent condition.

Nihilistic Portland, Oregon, hardcore outfit Poison Idea was formed in 1980 by frontman Jerry A., guitarist Tom Roberts, bassist Chris Tense, and drummer Dean Johnson. The group debuted three years later with the EP Pick Your King, cramming 13 songs into a 16-minute time frame; the Record Collectors Are Pretentious Assholes EP followed in 1985, fine-tuning the band's blistering sound and fatalistic worldview. A collaboration with Jeff Dahl appeared in 1993, concurrent with the covers album Pajama Party; however, in the wake of Pig Champion's subsequent departure Poison Idea disbanded, releasing their June 6, 1993, farewell gig at Portland's La Luna as Pig's Last Stand.(Jason Ankeny, All Music Guide)

This is one of a small collection of punk / hardcore / thrash metal and similar genre albums which I will be selling on eBay over the coming weeks. The collection includes albums by Crucifucks, D.R.I., Melvins, M.D.C., Poison Idea, Scratch Acid, Squirrel Bait and Throbbing Gristle and features a number of releases on the Alternative Tentacles, Dischord, SST and Homestead labels. These were mostly bought by the original owner at the specialist London record store Rhythm Records in the mid-80's and subsequently kept in immaculate condition. In most cases record, cover and inners are in near-mint condition.

Records will be posted in custom cardboard (cruciform type) mailers with additional reinforcement and carefully packed to avoid damage to sleeves. Proof of postage is obtained on all items at the time of posting; packets are insured against loss or damage up to a maximum of £34.
