GRADAZIONE RIGOROSA - STRICTLY GRADED

Note : un album veramente bello contenente 9 grandi brani strumentali. Ottima musica jazz in " WATERPROOF " con virtuosità pianistiche e un bel intervento di basso, sassofono e batteria, " CITRON " caratterizzata da una superba tromba affiancata successivamente dal sax tenore e in contrappunto con basso e batteria, " HUDSON AVENUE " con sax e pianoforte in buona evidenza. Dolce e raffinata bossa nova in " INCONTRO A RIO " con belle sfumature jazz ed elettrizzanti improvvisazioni dell'organo, " GIARDINO SOTTO LA PIOGGIA ", molto sofisticata per il suo andamento lento, " ELEGANTIA " con una bella vena jazz. Due più che buoni ballabili : " GERONIMO " basato su vivaci ritmi latini pure con sonorità da night-club e " NEW ENGLAND " una sorta di ritmica cavalcata sonora guidata da una bella chitarra elettrica. Infine un brano più distensivo : " FIVE FOR YOU  " dall'andamento moderatamente beat.

Notes : a wonderful album featuring nine superb instrumental tunes. Excellent jazz music on " WATERPROOF " with a gifted piano and the fine presence of bass, sax and drums, " CITRON " characterized by a great trumpet, afterwards supported by a tenor sax in counterpoint with bass and drums, " HUDSON AVENUE " with sax and piano in good prominence. Sweet and refined bossas on " INCONTRO A RIO " featuring fine jazzy flavours and exciting organ improvisations, " GIARDINO SOTTO LA PIOGGIA " by a sophisticated slow development and " ELEGANTIA " with a nice jazzy vein. Two very pleasant dance tunes : " GERONIMO " based on lively latin rhythms and a touch of night-club sonorities, " NEW ENGLAND ", a kind of blithe sound ride led by an excellent electric guitar. At last a relaxing lounge tune : " FIVE FOR YOU  " based on a moderate beat sound.
