Description

 Hello & Welcome

"POOPIK" - Not only that this is one of the three rarest and most desirable LP'S that were ever pressed in Israel, but it's also one of the best albums in the history of Israeli music (together with Danny Ben Israel's "Bullshit" lp and The Churchills first psych monster lp). This is the first and the only album that Poopik made and it's from 1971. It's a pop-rock masterpiece with psychedelic influences by the best writers and composers of the period. More than half of the album (seven songs) composed, arranged and played by the best Israeli rock band at the time - The Churchills (two tracks in this album are Hebrew versions of The Churchills songs: "Too Much In Love To Hear" - The Churchills first single from 1968, and "Yellow & Blue" - a song from Jericho Jones "Junkies Monkeys & Donkeys" album from 1971). Three other songs composed and arranged by another cannon - Shlomo Gronich (the one who made the great Israeli progressive album "Why Didn't you tell me?" from 1971). The Biggest hit on this album composed by the greatest Shalom chanoch is "Among The Stars". This album is so amazingly rare! It was pressed back then in 1971 in no more than 500 copies and not many bought it at the time. It hasn't been for sale on Ebay for more than a year! Finding it in any condition isn't an easy task at all, but to find it in nice condition is almost impossible nowadays! Although this copy isn't perfect, still it's a nice one! The catalogue number is "13014 PHONODOR STEREO".

Important! Please notice: Another rarity factor is the fact that there is a nice dedication in Hebrew by Poopik himself on the back laminated cover with blue pen! Poopik wrote: "To Nati, Amir And Ilana From Anat, Nili And Poopik. April 72". Please notice: Anat and Nili are Poopik's daughter and wife! (Please look at the pictures).

Condition:

Cover: The full laminated cover (front & back) is VG+. Front cover: A little bit of age wear in the edges and corners. A four centimeter cut in the mouth, but it has a piece of bright sellotape on it so I think it's not that bad. A tiny brownish stain under Poopik's face. There are a few pieces of sellotape in the internal mouth (from the inside), it can't be seen from outside and it's not that bad. Still nice front and nice lamination. Back Cover: The lamination is peeled off in the edges and in some small areas it's missing (due to the peeling). Still nice back. There are no seam splits (please look at the pictures, they tell all the story).

Record: The record looks EX and sounds nice. The labels are in great condition.

Shipping: only 8$ worldwide! I ship by a registered airmail. US buyers, your attention please: I ship the record from Israel and not from the US and that's why you have to pay 8$ (and not 4$ as mistakenly mentioned in the shipping and payments section in this page). Please wait for my invoice before paying!

Payment: I accept PayPal only!

Thanks For Your Time
