Original 1979 UK lp on Philips [9109 231]
Brill lp from the one and only Portsmouth Sinfonia who tackle 20 rock classics in their own inimitable way.Very hard to find lp which , I imagine, sold in miniscule quantities when it was originally released .Tracks are Pinball Wizard , Apache , Leader Of The Pack , A Whiter Shade Of Pale , You Really Got Me , Uptown Top Ranking , Glad All Over , Heartbreak Hotel , Telstar , Bridge Over Troubled Water . Nut Rocker , Don't Cry For Me Argentina , Rock Around The Clock , You Should Be Dancing , It's Only Make believe , Nights In White Satin , My Boy Lollipop , God Only Knows , [I Can't Get No] Satisfaction , A Day In The Life. Brilliant warped version of Apache!! CONDITION - sleeve is EX with no splits or writting etc. , just a little minor corner wear , VINYL - next to impossible to find a better copy I think ,looks unplayed , no spindle marks that I can see but in common with many pressings from the late 70's onward there are a few seconds of very minor surface noise in a couple of places although this is very minor and never intrudes on the music to any great extent. Had one copy I put on Ebay about six months ago and this is the first I've seen for sale anywhere since so there may not be another along for a while!! Good Luck!!!
