ULTRA RARE 1978 RECORD


ORIGINAL PRESSING FORTRESS RECORDS

 

Al Johnson formed and produced this 1978 album for the 

group Positive Change from Washington, its been 

relatively unknown by many except for the more hard core 

collectors over the years. Rumor has it that most copies of the

album were destroyed as a result of complications behind its 

release by a local businessman who financed the entire project.
Comprising of group soul ballads and mid pace songs and the 

brilliant modern soul dancer "Love of a lifetime" which is written

by Garry Taylor this is a worth while album to track down. 

Although original copies are few and far between.


This group was formed by legendary D.C. soul artist Al Johnson,

and was together for only a very short time. Al wrote or co-wrote

nine of the ten tunes on this album.

Great R&B sound, too bad they never got the exposure they

should have after winning first place at the Apollo theater 

and beating the late great Luther Vandross and the Emotions.
