Description

  • Really decent UK 1st press of PP Arnold's imaginative and creative debut LP on Immediate, released in 1967, with a mix of well realised covers and self-penned songs, arranged by John Paul Jones (set to go stratospheric with Led Zeppelin). 

  • One of Ike & Tina Turner's original backing singer Ikettes, Arnold's strong soul voice comes through well, particularly on her major hit Angel of the Morning and covers of Eleanor Rigby, God Only Knows, To Love Somebody and the Stones' As Tears Go By. 

  • The gatefold sleeve has a flattened spine and a 1cm tear top and bottom (see photo) but otherwise has survived well with just general wear, and grades VG to VG+. 

  • The vinyl is very clean and has no significant marks or scratches – it plays through well with just occasional surface noise and grades VG++ to EX-. 

  • The pink Immediate labels are excellent and it has the first press 1Y/2Y matrices. 

  • The vinyl comes housed in a new poly lined white inner sleeve. 

  • Nice copy for collectors.
