After the hooah of Aloha From Hawaii Via Satellite, then his acclaimed 1973 Stax sessions, Elvis charged into 1974 with a coast-to-coast tour which culminated in a hometown triumph, Recorded Live On Stage In Memphis. The original LP hit number one on the US Country charts and included 'How Great Thou Art', the hymn that won him his third Grammy. This lavish quad vinyl set augments the story, adding a never-before-released "test run" show recorded in Richmond, drenched in the cavernous reverb Elvis loved. It also folds in five rare Hollywood studio takes from August 1974, three previously unheard, including 'Down In The Alley' and 'The Twelfth Of Never'. A 20-page booklet packed with unseen photos, memorabilia and new liner notes rounds out this deep excavation of mid-70s Elvis at peak pelt.
