Description

Pretty Purdie
Soul drums
DATE (TES 4006) late 60's
Manufactured in United States

Another one I shouldn't have to introduce... A funky drummer masterpiece!!! I guess that would be good enough as a description. Should I add that this is a soul funk instrumental LP that suits well to anybody... I mean soul men and women love it as much as the funk afficionados and the beat-heads into sound production. It's soulful, it's super funky and it contains two thousand tons of incredible drum breaks at least...

  • Cover grade: strong VG moderate corner wear occuring a partial split on the upper left corner, 7 cm openings on upper and lower edges despite there is almost no edge wear, on back: slight surface wear and a demo stamp, otherwise ultra clean cover, really awesome free of any surface wear, full colours... I'm giving it this grade despite my will, these are my rules, covers with partially splitted edges aren't allowed in the VG+ aera...
  • Vinyl grade: strong EX a couple of light superficial scuffs.
  • Sound check: perfect, excellent pressing quality!
  • Note about grading: my grading system is NM / EX / VG / G. Unless a record is sealed I won't grade it M. I grade very strictly, expect absolute perfection at NM. Check my "about me" page for more details about my grading system.
  • Note about soundfiles: The soundfiles made available on my record auctions have been recorded with a cheap cartridge and converted to mp3 at a low bitrate, they usually sound badder than the record will play. I play-checked every record with a recently purchased brand new cartridge before taking the decision to list on eBay. I didn't list any record sounding badder than it looked. For detailed comments about sound quality, read the "sound check" section. If for any reason you were unable to hear the music dispatched by my players, contact me, I'll send any soundfile requested at your email adress.

Terms of auction, important things to know and accept before placing a bid
(Please to read, understand and ask questions if necessary):
  • I'm also a record collector. My record grading is extremely strict, bid accordingly to the condition staten. Seriousness shall be felt in my descriptions. If this wasn't enough, feel free to check my feedback as a seller, I don't sell often but seriously.
  • Records will be securely packed. If you purchase both LPs and 45s, I'll do my best to reduce your shipping costs and make them ship together in the same parcel as long as I can garanty their security, only depending on the quantities of each.
  • Zero feedback bidders must contact me before bidding. I need to know approximately who I'm dealing with. Zero feedback bidders, you are always welcome as long as you introduce yourselves and shortly explain your buying motivation, thanks.
  • I just hope I'll sell these records to nice persons, good eBayers and carefull collectors around the world. I'm an enthousiastic music lover, definitely peacefully minded but if you behave without respect and a good sense of responsability, the appropriate feedback will be given.
  • The payment has to be made in a reasonable delay as long as you finished with bidding on my auctions: the sooner, the better... Thank you for bidding but do it only if you're able to pay.
  • Very important: If you intend to use Paypal and you're not someone I know or have never won any of my past auctions, be aware that over GBP 30 total ordering, I will only send records registered. I need to protect myself against Paypal's chargebacks abuses that I know only a rare minority is committing... That's the only way I can proove I have sent your parcel. I'm selling records from my own collection because I have no other choice and I can't afford to let any shady eBayer act badly, ruin all my good work and push me deeper in the financial hole I'm already in... So, unless we know each other or already had at least one positive transaction in the past, you have to pay for registration. Thank you for your comprehension.
  • People paying by Paypal who are... ordering under GBP 30, french residents (as I can always proove I sent the parcel) , people I know, eBayers I already sold records to, will be in position to ask for an unregistered shipment.
  • Worldwide people paying by another way than Paypal will also be in position to ask for an unregistered shipment.

Payment options: Paypal (euro zone residents, please read the following note), euros (sent registered only), international money order, bank transfer (European Union only), bank check (french residents only).

European Union residents: I won't insist enough... I strongly prefer bank transfers wich are fast and definitely efficient, they permit me to send faster, to avoid supplementar 5% fees and unfair exchange rates both for you and me... It is profitable to both of us, please think about it... Really!

Note about sending delays:
I won't be able to send any record until the funds are on my bank account. When you pay with Paypal, it takes 5 days to transfer money onto my bank account, so have in mind that in this case I'll pack records as soon as my Paypal account will be credited and will send only once the transfer will be completed. I'll send as fast as possible but please, allow a 7-10 days sending delay if paying by Paypal. 10 days beeing the worst case (generated by late payers), as I have to wait until my Paypal account reaches a certain amount (100 euros) to proceed to a transfer. Any other way of payment will see me sending faster... In anyway, I'll be in touch with you and will send a "sending notification" to each buyer.

Shipping costs:
You will pay the exact shipping cost majored by 2 euros for a secure packaging and handling. I won't make money on shipping costs. The following shipping costs do include the packaging and handling majoration:
