On offer here is a very rare LP (especially in this condition!!!!) by Pretty Things called 'Get The Picture' and is a VERY rare 1965 MONO 1st Pressing on the 'textured' Fontana 1st Press label!!!! THIS IS A MEGA RARE LP AND IS VERY HARD TO FIND!!!! THIS HAS TO BE REGARDED AS ONE OF THE VERY RAREST PRETTY THINGS LPS!!!! THIS IS THE 1965 1ST UK MONO PRESSING WITH 'TEXTURED' 1ST PRESS LABELS, 1/1 MATRIX ENDINGS AND A 1ST PRESS MONO LAMINATED COVER!!!! DONT MISS OUT ON THIS MEGA RARE OPPORTUNITY!!!! This is the ORIGINAL Fontana MONO 1st pressing from 1965 and is MEGA RARE!!!! The record is pressed on THICK quality vinyl. The Cat. No is TL 5280 on the ORIGINAL 'Textured' 1st Press Fontana label (see picture) and is a UK MONO 1st Pressing!!!! All the tracks are pure quality Pretty Things at their best!!!! Any fan of The Pretty Things, or 60s music in general, will want to have this in their collection!!!!
The record labels are in STUNNING condition (see pictures) with NO wear, NO writing, and only a few light spindle marks!!!! The vinyl isnt visually perfect - but most importantly this record plays BRILLIANTLY!!!! Most of these 60s LPs had been to a lot of wild parties and are usually found totally worn out, and almost unplayable. This one is NOT and has NO nasty deep scratches - but it does have a few hairlines, a few scufflines, and only a few of the lightest paper scuffs only visible under light!!!! There is also a small 'residue' type mark - though this does sound AT ALL!!!! THE RECORD STILL RETAINS ITS ORIGINAL 'JUST PRESSED' LOOK!!!! So the record isnt visually perfect - BUT it is great to find that the record plays MUCH BETTER than the visual with only a VERY few clicks/pops, NO sticking, NO jumps, NO hiss and barely ANY crackle!!!! The needle virtually ignores every mark and the sound quality is STUNNING with NO groovewear and NO distortion!!!! The record must grade visually Good++++ if not better - though the playing grade is MILES better - more like Very Good++!!!! IT PLAYS BRILLIANTLY!!!! Believe me this record is NOT overgraded in ANY way!!!! I use STRICT RC grading standards - it is not in my interest not to!!!! Brillant!!!! The record comes in its ORIGINAL inner sleeve!!!! The 1st Press MONO Cover is in GREAT condition!!!! It has NO edge wear, some slight roughening/grubbyness (NOT wear) to the VERY top edge where the laminate has shrunk (colour unaffected), NO spinal wear, only slight corner wear (NOT through the colour), only a few light creases (NO heavy creases, NO folds, and cover is still VERY flat looking), and NO writing!!!! The opening edge is beautifully straight with NO feathering!!!! Even the unlaminated back is in GREAT condition with NO writing, NO grubbyness, and barely ANY yellowing AT ALL!!!! The unlaminated back is VERY white looking - though there are two surface only (NOT through the white colour) patches of wear. One towards the top right - and one in the top left area. HOWEVER it is VERY important to note that these patches of wear have NOT gone through the white colour, and DO NOT affect any text!!!! As a result (as they are white on white) they are easy to overlook and this back cover is still VERY presentable indeed (see pictures). The cover must grade Very Good (PROPERLY graded, NOT trashed) if not better - and there is NO major faults (NO splits, NO rips, NO writing, NO staining, etc)!!!! THIS LP MAY NOT BE VISUALLY PERFECT - BUT IS ONE OF THE PRETTY THINGS RAREST EVER LPS AND DOES PLAY VERY WELL INDEED!!!! IT IS ALSO VERY PRESENTABLE AND PROVIDES A GREAT CHANCE FOR SOMEONE TO OWN THIS MEGA RARE LP AT A CHEAPER PRICE THAN THE HUGE PRICE OF A MINT COPY!!!! SO DONT MISS OUT ON THIS MEGA RARE OPPORTUNITY!!!!
