This LP...More Electric Banana, by the Pretty Things......This is a first pressing three coloured, red white & blue label pressing with laminated sleeve and not the far more common red issue which was pressed later and kept on the Dewolfe catalogue until the mid to late 70s...This is from the first run which would have been a very small pressing. This LP is by the Electric Banana AKA The Pretty Things. Great tracks in the same vein as the S F Sorrow album, This lp even includes a completely different version of I See You....I have included a sound clip of that track which is taken from this LP. Please see the other auction I have on ebay for an original 1st pressing of the Even More Electric Banana LP.

By mid '67 the Pretties had transformed into full psychedelic mode, and they used their studio time at DeWolfe to try out some of their new song ideas. Though lacking the rich production of their recordings with Norman Smith at Abbey Road -- or the keyboards of John Povey, who took the drum seat for these basic live-in-the-studio workouts -- More Electric Banana makes for interesting listening. Highlights include a haunting early version of "I See You" (later reworked for S.F Sorrow) and the desperate, emotionally-charged "Grey Skies" with some fine lead guitar work by Dick Taylor. The two 'outside' compositions by Peter Reno, "Street Girl" and "Love, Dance and Sing", aren't half bad this time, though May refused to sing them, leaving Waller to take the lead vocal.
CONDITION:
RECORD..EXCELLENT (ex)... A nice copy sounds great. Sound clip is from the actual record with no noise reduction or anything of that kind used to alter the true sound ...
SLEEVE...EXCELLENT (ex)...No writing tears etc..but has a one inch split on the spine...Still looks ok...See scan...
