PRETTY THINGS - S.F. SORROW LP - GATEFOLD (COLUMBIA - EMI SCX-6306) (VG++)
· BAND: Legendary UK Psychedelic band…
· TOTAL OUTPUT: MANY LP’s & singles. This was their 5TH LP, frequently described as a rock opera or concept album.

· PRESSING: Third UK pressing, 1971.
· LABEL: Columbia/EMI (Black with silver lettering) (EMI SCX-6306, YAX.3738) This third pressing included a label variant with two boxed EMI logos (one on top, and one on the bottom of the label) instead of one. Side 2 of the label has a price sticker on it.
· MATRIX RUNOUT NUMBERS (STAMPED): A: YAX 3738-1, B: YAX 3739-1
· CONDITION: FRONT COVER: EX- (Top seam has a 1 inch wearing that hasn’t quite turned into a split yet. Bottom seam and Spine are perfect. No visible ring-wear. Bottom right front corner has minor dent and bottom left corner has a small 1/8 inch portion where the black has worn off. The entire front cover has a full glossy sheen. Interior gatefold has minor fading on the top and bottom strips that is barely visible.
· CONDITION: BACK COVER: EX- (Same minor issues on the bottom corners as the front cover. Extremely minor ring-wear (on a scale of 1-10, it is a 1, but is faintly visible)
· CONDITION: DUST JACKET SLEEVE: EX- (Contains images of all the EMI artists, circa 1970)
· CONDITION: VINYL: Plays with minimal surface noise on quiet passages and has overall audio grade of EX-.
NOTE: My LP’s are visually graded with the exception of two sound samples from the first songs on each side which can be heard with the links provided below.

SHi folks, this is Velvetfogg, founder of the U-SPACES music collective which ran from 1997 to 2020 on Yahoogroups and has now switched over to Facebook. The primary focus of U-SPACES was to provide a network of Psych & Garage music aficionados to build and share compilations of non comped songs. Over the past 40 years I have amassed a large 45 & LP collection which I am now choosing to put up for auction to help fund my kid’s college educations. Generally speaking, I am only putting things up for auction that are either in excellent condition or extremely rare.
My preference is to run these auctions on EBAY because of familiarity with the process, but there is the potential that I will switch or use other platforms in parallel in the future. Check out my collection on DISCOGS under VELVETFOGG. I have only listed 45’s on that site that I plan to auction in 2021/22 and the list will grow substantially on a weekly basis as I continue to go through my collection. I hope to list ten 45’s and or LP’s per week for EBAY auctions on Sundays.
GRADING SCALE:
NM/M: Played once or twice. No visible surface or playback wear.
EX: Has been played but has no scratches, minimal to no wear and plays without surface noise.
EX- Plays without surface noise, but might have a few visible minor scratches.
VG++: May have a few surface scratches or a little wear, but plays nicely with only minimal surface noise and clicks.
VG+: "Typical used record". A little wear, a few minor (light) scratches, but plays well. Surface noise may be more present during soft passages. No Skips
VG: More wear and significant surface noise. Deeper scratches. May have a skip.
G: Significant surface noise and scratches and visible groove wear. (Beat up record!) May have skips.
(All LP’s are visually-graded with sound samples being provided for the first song on each side.)

· USA: ALL DOMESTIC US - $7.50 for one LP ("Priority Mail Cubic" via 3rd party shipping company with tracking & insurance: 1-3 day) (Media Mail is unreliable)
· Canada/Mexico: $20.00 USPS First Class International
· Rest of World: $25.00 USPS First Class International
LP’s ship via USPS Priority Mail Cubic (domestic) or USPS First Class International. Professional cardboard 45 mailers will be used with proper bubble packing.
Priority Shipping is available for higher priced international items upon request and includes insurance but is expensive. (For international orders, please research these costs in your country prior to bidding.
Combined Shipping – Please WAIT for me to send an invoice after I weigh the total amount if you win multiple auctions in one week.
