The Hub City Movers was founded in 1969 in Austin Texas Members were Charlie Sauer, Jimmie Gilmore, Ike Ritter, Ed Vizard, and Jerry Barnett  "The Chicken Song"  was from a Feds and Heads Comic by Gilbert Shelton, titiled "Set your Chickens Free" (which the HCM set to music and used with permission from Shelton)
