This is a listing for a copy of the highly coveted Prince live bootleg Dance, Music, Sex, Romance. released on Vigotone Records. The first 5 sides of the 3 LP set are taken from live soundboard recordings of an intimate after-show he performed in Den Haag at the "Paard Van Troje" Club, August 18, 1988 at 3 a.m. to small crowd of only 300 people. This recording is to this day still considered the holy grail for live Prince bootlegs and there's good reason for it's notoriety! The fidelity is superb and the versions performed here are stripped down, raw, and truly virtuosic. "People Without" is also a particularly fantastic song that is singular to this recording and improvised on the spot and in my opinion is reason enough to seek out this record! Also of note is that the Vigotone Records release of this bootleg recording is one of the few that maintain the original sequencing from the show. For some frustrating reason many other bootlegs changed the order of the songs substantially or remove tracks and spread the show out amongst multiple releases that you would have to piece together if you wanted to hear the entire show (and trust me, you do!). Side 6 contains selections from the Dortmund, Germany, Sept 9, 1988 arena show from the week prior that was filmed for broadcast television in Europe. This set really is the definitive live Prince audio recording and would be the perfect holiday gift for any Prince vinyl collector. The box is in really excellent shape overall for its age with just few slight ripples in the pasted on cover image due to the adhesive deteriorating with time (see photos 6 and 7) and there there is a split in the bottom seem on the backside of the box (see last photo) and is graded as being in VG+ condition. The vinyl itself looks barely played with only a few visible surface scuffs that don't affect playback and is graded as being in EX condition.
