Description
The Prince Pato Expedition 'Firebird 1' LP on Beacon Records, 1972 (BEAS 21). Condition: VG/NM (cover has water damage).
Rare and sought after UK only heavy afro funk LP by 70s NYC outfit The Prince Pato Expedition. Features the 'Planet Of The Breaks' compiled track 'Dancing In The Jungle' alongside a load more break-laden funk tracks featuring fat drums & percussion, funky organ, heavy basslines, afro brass and even sitar! A very solid album throughout, just look at the track titles below and you'll get the idea!! The cover is a bit wobbly from exposure to water, but is otherwise fine - the vinyl is in strong NM shape. A very scarce, awesome afro funk LP on the collectable Beacon label, this LP hardly ever turns up and is accordingly on many a connoisseur beat digger and funk collector's wants list.. don't sleep!!
