Description
Prince Purple Rain 9-song PROMO PURPLE COLORED VINYL LP on Warner Bros. 1-25110 from 1984. As you can see in the photos below, this PROMO version LP was pressed on PURPLE COLORED VINYL, which was a LIMITED EDITION version!!! There's a gold PROMO imprint at the bottom right corner of the front cover. I just noticed something that is really interesting... there's an imprinted number "2" at the bottom right corner of the back cover to the right of the Warner Bros. logo. This is something I've never seen on commercial copies of the Purple Rain album, and as this is the first time I've found a PROMO PURPLE COLORED VINYL copy of this LP, I can't say exactly what this means, whether it's a numbering system, a pressing plant number or what. If you have any idea what this does mean, please feel free to let me know. As you'll see in the photos below, there's an original 3" x 5" hype sticker affixed to the front of the front cover. The 9-songs included are: Let's Go Crazy, Take Me with U, The Beautiful Ones, Computer Blue, Darling Nikki, When Doves Cry, I Would Die 4 U, Baby I'm a Star, and Purple Rain. <P>

The vinyl is in very good plus - excellent condition with a few whispy sleeve marks. The cover has no tears, seam splitting or writing and is in very good plus with slight storage/ring wear, dinged/dogeared corners at the bottom left and right, and the top right corners. Please take a look at the photos below of each side of the label to view the label condition. This LP comes in the original lyric inner sleeve, and is in very good plus condition with a 2" seam split at the center of one side, light handling marks, and a 1/2" tear/flap to the top right corner of the opening. Unfortunately, this LP does not include the limited edition poster as noted in the hype sticker on the front cover, which I believe since this was a radio DJ's copy, it may have been pulled out and put on the wall a long time ago. This is exactly how I found this LP, and although I could have found a copy of the poster to stick inside this one, it wouldn't have been how I truly found it, but if you want to complete the package with a poster, I'll leave that to you to do if you so choose. This is a RARE & COOL Prince/Colored Vinyl collectible, make sure you bid on this one today!!! <P>
