From The Vault Collection: A Museum-Grade Specimen

Presented for your consideration is an absolute grail for the definitive collector: An original, factory-sealed first pressing of Prince and the Revolution's Purple Rain. Released in 1984, preserved perfectly in its original tight shrink wrap.

Collector’s Highlights – Why This Record Melts Butter:

• Factory Sealed (SS): The single most desirable state for any collector. This record has never been touched by human hands since it left the plant in 1984. The vintage shrink is incredibly tight, creating that brilliant, glossy sheen (see IMG_3805.jpg).

• Iconic Artifact: This isn't just an album; it’s a cultural cornerstone. A sealed copy of this quality is a true investment-grade piece.

• Presumed Mint Vinyl: Without opening it, this is the safest bet for a perfect disc.

Jacket Condition Transparency:

We value your satisfaction and trust, which is why we provide detailed, transparent information on any wear. While this jacket is beautifully preserved, nearly 40 years of existence leaves its mark. Please see the detailed photos:

• The shrink wrap is very tight and original, with no tears, though it shows standard minor surface scuffing from storage.

• Front (IMG_3805.jpg): The image is vibrant and clear. There is some minimal, natural shelf wear (minor whitening) visible along the top spine edge and corners where the shrink wrap naturally pulls.

• Back (IMG_3806.jpg): The colors are crisp. The bottom-right corner shows a very minor, typical storage bump (softening).

• Overall, this is an outstanding example that would be a centerpiece in any serious collection.

Shipping & Returns Policy

Professional Packaging

• Secure Handling: Your record will be shipped in a dedicated, heavy-duty cardboard mailer (LP or 45 specific) with extra cardboard stiffeners to prevent bending or crushing.

• Pro-Tip Protection: To prevent seam splits during transit, all opened records are shipped with the vinyl removed from the jacket (housed in its inner sleeve) and placed behind the jacket within a 4mil clear poly outer sleeve.[Note: As this item is sealed, it will be shipped in its original state, but this standard of care applies to all items we sell].

Fast & Tracked Shipping

• Handling Time: I ship within 1–2 business days of receiving cleared payment.

• Tracking: A tracking number will be provided immediately upon shipment.

• Combined Shipping: I am happy to combine shipping. Please wait for a revised invoice before paying to receive the discounted rate.

Returns & Satisfaction

• The "Collector’s Guarantee": I use strict Goldmine Grading standards. If you feel the record does not match the description or grading, please contact me directly before leaving feedback. I am a collector first and I value your satisfaction.

• 30-Day Returns: I accept returns within 30 days. The item must be returned in the exact same condition it was received.

• 🚨 CONDITION POLICY: For opened records, returns are accepted if the item is returned in the same condition as sent. Any new scratches, sleeve scuffs, or damage to the jacket incurred while in the buyer's possession will void the full refund. [For this specific sealed item, any break in the factory shrink wrap will void the return policy completely.]

• Shipping Costs: Buyer is responsible for return shipping costs unless there was a significant error in the listing.
