I am selling a HUGE Prince collection, please look at my other auctions. It all has to go, sorry no returns.

ALBUM #1 - The Black Album, on BLUE VINYL.

ALBUM #2 - Intimate Moments With Prince, limited edition of 1,000, PURPLE VINYL. From The Purple Underground. This is a studio recording of Prince alone at his piano. He reintreprets 10 songs, workign the nuances to challenge himself & elicit new respect from the surreptious listener. Bonus track, acoustic guitar version of Alphabet Street.

17 DAYS - Prince delivers an improvisational rendition of this often over looked b-side.

PURPLE RAIN - A pensive reflective version. Prince sings softly unlike the overly rehearssed arena screech-fests.

A CASE OF U - Prince pays homage here to Joni Mitchell. He has covered this song in haunting live performances. Here he takes some liberties, imporvising on lyrics. THIS IS FROM 1989.

MARY DON'T U WEEP - Dark heavy piano, mournful vocals lamenting lost love. Aretha Franklin has also recorded this song.

STRANGE RELATIONSHIP - Deep bluesy feeling holds over from the previous song, then picks up a bit. Prince just gets into his own song. Carries away into Jazzy Piano Interlude which leads into a long piano intro to International Lover.

COLD COFFEE & COCAINE - Agile piano playing, accompanying grunts. Prince laments an unsuitable lover: "That's the last night I'll spend at yo house--all I get is a cup of cold coffee & cocaine."

MAMA - A downshift to dark heavy piano. Prince repeats "Mama" --

ALPHABET STREET BLUES - This take may have been inspired by Prince's fascination with Bluesman Robert Johnson, whose life is (was) the subject of one of Prince's upcoming films.
