For sale here is the unique record collection of a former German music critic who, among other things, wrote for the newspapers "DIE ZEIT" and "DIE WELT".
Only promo records (over 100), plus some very rare private pressings that were only available through personal contact with the musicians.
In addition to the rarity of the records, there is the high musical quality of the recordings, by artists such as Enrico Mainardi, Pierre Fournier, Camilla Wicks, Alfredo Campoli, Ossy Renardy, Nathan Milstein, Clemens Krauss and many others.

Donald Harris (1931 - 2016) was an american composer. From 1954 to 1968 Harris lived in Paris, where he studied with Nadia Boulanger. In this time he composed this piano sonata. Around 1960 he met french pianist Genevieve Joy and they became very close friends. Genevieve Joy played the first performance of the piano sonata. It was the first performance of one of Harris' compositions also.
Around 1961, Genevieve Joy played the piano sonata as part of a french radio broadcast. Apparently this acetate was created on this radio show. The recording was never officially released.
Never oficially released! Only a handful of this acetate copies exist. A real collector's item.
The record comes with two documents from Donald Harris. A hand-signed short introduction to the two works on the record.
And a three-page typewritten treatise by Donald Harris on the subject ‚Social effects of new musical structures‘.
