RARE PRIVATE PRESS FOLK LP - not sure what they were going for here , so i will include the opening statements of the insert notes as that best explains it  :  

             Out of the noxious dust from the collapse of the folk boom rose , phoenix-like , the Golden Nectar Goodtime Band . In ignorance and innocence it embraced an ideal : that music should be , above all else , entertaining . In times of acid-rock and rebellion it turned a deaf ear to the call for electric sensuality and pseudo social relevance .  In the purity of its acoustic tones , titillating melodies and outre rhythms it remained true to its basic tenet . it chose to express itself in the music of the twenties and thirties , which was , in comparison to the "heavy sounds" of the sixties , exceptionally light .

             As years passed , despite changes in personnel , the band remained constant to its pure and virtuous conception of what its music was about . Then , in 1969 , an alien and dangerous force , embodied in the form of a New York City producer , enticed it to a studio and recorded it . This force is apparent in the cannons , cowboys and Indians , various "fillers" and the infamous "Dewey Boulevard" for which the Golden Nectar Goodtime Band offers its apologies . Yes , the band was wrenched from its ignorance and state of grace .

             But justice prevailed . All of the insidious schemes to have the band play music for an early morning cartoon show for seven year olds failed dismally and the producer retreated into the hinterlands to search for other unsuspecting victims . Now , with the help of some friends , this limited edition album is presented for your listening and dancing pleasure . This record , then , is a single frame in the motion picture of the life of a band and a lesson learned by one who was disillusioned by big cities and bright lights .
