This is an ultrarare private pressing,manufactured in high quality by german EMI Electrola as a “Special Issue” in 1980.The A-side contains Bach’s Suite For Unaccompanied Cello No.1 in G-major,BWV 1007.It is performed by Jaspar Sturzkopf,who has been a pupil of Enrico Mainardi and Rolf Looser,his first main teacher was Rudolf Metzmacher(cellist of the Stross Quartet).Mr.Sturzkopf has been professor for the cello-classes at the “Clara-Schumann-Musicschool” in Düsseldorf for 37 years until he retired in 2007.

The B-side contains 2 compositions for cello and piano:R.Schumann/Fantasy-Pieces for Cello And Piano op.73 and B.Martinu/Variations sur un theme slovaque.J.Sturzkopf is accompanied by:Janet Wood-Holdorf,who has been a child prodigy,performing 13-years old with the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra in 1965,scholarship brought her to Germany in the late 60ies,she studied with A.Kontarsky in Cologne and made a degree in vocal accompaniment in 1971.She has been teaching at the “Robert Schumann Music Highschool” in Düsseldorf and (together with famous Wagner-tenor Jean Cox)at the summer-classes at the Bayreuth Wagner Festival,recently she has returned to the USA.

Condition:The record looks and plays beautiful in mint-/ex+++.The cover shows only slightest shelfwear,all seams are intact,ex++.

Grading:this used record has been cleaned on a prof. cleaning machine.After that I playgraded it on a Rega Planar 9 with a Rega Super Elys moving magnet system and I also visually graded the record under a strong light.I give you a detailed description of both gradings.Only an unplayed record is mint,the highest grading for a used record is mint-! My basic gradings are:mint-ex-vg.As a free service,cleaned records are stored in a brandnew deluxe innersleeve and the cover will be placed in a brandnew PVC protection-sleeve!
