on the locust records label, catalog # locust 87, from a numbered edition of 525 that is now out of print, this is number 161, originally from 1973/74, this edition is from 2006.  19 tracks, 9 of which were part of the original lp ' given time or the several roads '.   it's been over five years since i've had an original of this one......as far as i can tell i was the first to introduce it to the ebay world back in 2005......& i've been looking for a replacement ever since.....i have yet to find one.   but thanks to the great folks at locust who put this one out a while back, more people can share in the beauty that is silmaril.    sparse arrangements abound on this one, sounds very british.....the other ten tracks on this double lp set were to be the 2nd silmaril lp ' no mirrored temple ', (which remained unreleased until 2006), follows in the footsteps of their earlier work, but is flavored throughout with the addition of the sitar.    this is now out of print, and getting pretty difficult to locate as well.  

silkscreened textured cover (opens at back) is NM-, has a couple small corner dents, otherwise beautiful.    vinyl is NM- as well, in beautiful condition.   please check my other auctions this week for many more collectible records in all genres, lots of soul/funk, some psych;  private press rarities, folk, etc.......buy a bunch and save on shipping. 


while i strive to keep my ebay sales fun and hassle free, i do have a couple new rules, due to some unfortunate activity from my previous rounds of auctions:    both ITALY & FRANCE customers must pay REGISTERED AIRMAIL shipping, regardless of the final value of the item(s)......no EXCEPTIONS!    i've avoided this new policy for some time, but in my last round of auctions i had four charge-backs, so this has become mandatory.....shipping prices are quoted below.   also, i do not accept bids from those of you with zero feedback.  sorry, no exceptions.  thanks in advance for your understanding.  as always, i will not end auctions early, please don't even bother to ask.

may was a rough month for me in terms of feedback, as i received my first negatives since selling on ebay (for over ten years now!)......so a quick note to future buyers:   if you have a question, please ask it BEFORE you buy the record, don't assume details without confirming with me, it will save us both the headaches.   also, for those of you overseas.......tracking for an item shipped overseas is NOT a cheap option, it starts at about $40.00 for an lp.   if you are willing to pay that, great.   if not, don't assume that there is an affordable way for me to do that, or that it's an option with regular first class mail....because it isn't.   if you need to see the package through from my house to your house, the cost starts at $40.00 to certain destinations, and goes up from there.   a very secure way of shipping, but not trackable, is registered mail.   that being said.......

PLEASE NOTE ANOTHER NEW POLICY:   any item or combination of items that goes for over $100.00 must ship with registered mail, at an additional cost of $11.50.   THIS IS REQUIRED, I'VE HAD A COUPLE EXPENSIVE RECORDS DISAPPEAR THROUGH NO FAULT OF MY OWN, to countries that i wouldn't expect to lose something to.   i cannot be held responsible for items that are lost in the mail.  

all records are original pressings unless noted......i do not sell current reissues.  please ask any questions early, as i am not always by my computer near the end of auctions.    buyer pays shipping, see rates below.   all records are shipped in dedicated record mailers, with record shipped outside of cover when applicable, with two cardboard inserts.   paypal is the only accepted form of payment at this time.

i have to state that i will ship for $4.00 according to new ebay rules, but i do not like to use media rate, or first class domestic either....both take far too long, and items have sometimes gone missing as well.   if you absolutely have to save $3.00 on shipping, then that is what you'll get, media rate for $4.00, including delivery confirmation....to me, as a seller (and a buyer, for that matter) it takes too long, and i end up with too many questions ( 'where is my record?'   'when did you ship it?'  etc, etc).   i strongly urge you to use priority......you can avoid a heavy box of books being placed on your fragile record, and you'll get it so much faster.    i prefer you use priority shipping with the US, and the cost is $7.00, including delivery confirmation.   first class airmail shipping to CANADA is also $7.00.   first class airmail shipping to MOST OF EUROPE, JAPAN & AUSTRALIA is $14.00.   registered airmail shipping is $25.00 worldwide, and is required on all shipments to both ITALY and FRANCE.   I DO NOT SHIP to SOUTH AMERICA, MEXICO, or ISRAEL at this time, NO EXCEPTIONS.   i will gladly combine items to save on shipping, i try not to make ANY money on shipping costs, i typically lose money honestly.   payment is expected within 7 days of auction end.   thanks for looking, and good luck.
