Personnel: Robin Trower (vocals, acoustic guitar, tambourine); Gary Brooker (vocals, 3-string guitar, recorder, harmonica, piano, celeste, bells, woods); Kellogs (bosun's whistle); Matthew Fisher (vocals, acoustic guitar, recorder, piano, organ, marimba); David Knights (bass); Barrie Wilson (drums, conga, tabla).Engineers: Ken Scott, Ian Stuart, Henry Lewy.Procol Harum, who reached an astounding peak with their 1967 debut, achieved further heights with each successive release up to A SALTY DOG, their third. This album mixes heartfelt singing with orchestral grandeur and an R&B-based rhythm section (B.J. Wilson is one of the great unsung drummers of the '60s and '70s). The band easily and honestly moves from the symphonic mini-epic of the title track to the bluesy "The Milk of Human Kindness." The dual keyboards offer a regal sheen that is nicely punctuated by Robin Trower's guitar. Throughout, Gary Brooker's vocals are richly barbed and the perfect vehicle to deliver lyricist Keith Reid's literary verses. With the departure of organist Matthew Fisher, this was the last great recording by the original line-up of Procol Harum. This album is essential.

Condition Of Vinyl:- The disc has light use ............ just a couple of light , minor surface marks (not heavy at all) Plays through reall well ............ No label wear , light spindle sheen only : The Disc is Graded at EXCELLENT condition.

Condition Of Sleeve:- The laminated sleeve has light use .............. Very clean and bright ............. a few small , minor wrinkles ............ very light sign of ring impression : Graded at Very Near EXCELLENT condition.

I grade items ( using the UK Record Collector Grading System) beneath a light , to be sure of condition

I do not believe it is necessary to use the eBay buzzwords such as STUNNING !! RARE !! AWESOME !! , padded out with grossly long winded 'descriptions' ..... Many of the 'experts' who use this method of selling also add technical information , which is totally unfounded and does not correspond with the actual facts , and would be laughable but for the fact it is totally misleading. I take time and care to graded items correctly , and only list quality records , with concise , accurate grading descriptions

I have been a lifelong music fan , my first concert visit was in 1957 (Birmingham Town Hall Skiffle Contest !) and have bought records of all the great music since 1959 , and had the privelege of seeing most of the great artists 'live' ( I saw The Beatles twice and Segovia !)
