Description
PROCOL HARUM - " SHINE ON BRIGHTLY ", Regal Zonophone (SLRZ 1004) Stereo, 1968.
Extremely rare, UK first, stereo pressing of the classic prog LP by Procol Harum.
Original front laminated, flip-back sleeve design, red and silver label design and matrix numbers ending in 49 and 50, clearly marking this out as a first pressing.

Professionally cleaned on my Moth record cleaning machine and put in a new poly-lined inner sleeve (the original inner has been retained for originality- see photo)
NOTE: Please also be aware that the labels on this record are not different shades or red as the pictures suggest, that is just the result of my digital camera trying to think for itself!
CONDITION:
VINYL = V.G.++ (No deep scratches, groove damage, excessive surface noise, distortion, etc. Pretty clean labels with only very light spindle trails. Under a strong direct light, this LP carries a few paper scuffs and some hairline surface marks. On playback, I cannot find any correlation between these very slight cosmetic imperfections and audible damage though. That said, this LP does suffer a little bit of light surface noise and the odd faint crackle as it plays out, which are a little more audible in silences and quiet sections of the record. So certainly no museum piece, but definitely not totally written off either - a nice original '68 LP which would still be great for somebody out there to play and enjoy.
Note: for the purposes of this listing I have tested this LP on my Linn LP12 Sondek turntable - generally this is quite a critical test, but I must point out that I cannot guarantee exactly how this LP will sound on your turntable - common sense for most... but then this is ebay!!!)
SLEEVE = V.G.++ (No rips, no tears, no heavy creases, no defacing, or heavy ring wear, etc . Just marked down a fraction for some light normal wear to the edges and corners, a couple of areas of delamination in the corners by the spine and a little bit of wear along the top rear flip-back where the white is showing through. Plus other signs of previous light normal use - see photos for further clarification)
